This artwork is a gorgeous example of Dr. Esther Mahlangu’s signature style. While the colors and shapes are bold, the work is balanced by those same qualities. Dr. Mahlangu has been painting for 77 years and she is firmly grounded in her Ndebele traditions, yet she has also traveled worldwide and worked in many of the greatest cities around the globe. For over 7 decades she continues to make a valuable contribution to contemporary art and popular culture. This painting is signed and dated on the bottom front left corner.
