Embellished Shorts

These Dior embellished shorts come from the Resort 2023 Menswear collection, unveiled in May 2022 against the sun-drenched backdrop of Venice Beach. A collaboration between Kim Jones and Eli Russell Linnetz of ERL, the collection was a fluid exchange of ideas, merging Dior's heritage with ERL's laid-back California aesthetic. Referencing archival Dior from 1991, the year of Linnetz's birth, baggy skater culture and even Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, the collection embraced a unique blend of elegance, playfulness, and California-cool.

Featured in the second look of the show, these shorts encapsulate the spirit of the collaboration. Crafted in a muted grey, they are lavishly adorned with pearls, shells, and intricate beadwork, all meticulously arranged in wave-like patterns, nodding to the oceanic inspiration that defined the collection's runway.
