The New Era 59Fifty has a storied history as the official cap of Major League Baseball. Making its official debut in 1954, the numerically sized fitted cap has become a staple of hip-hop style and subcultural self-expression, evolving in the mid-'80s and '90s into a way to show your affinity for a brand rather than a sports team. In 2007, Pharrell and NIGO sported these bold red Billionaire Boys Club fitted frequently, often with white graphic tees and heavy custom chains—some of which have been auctioned off in previous JOOPITER lots.
