Similar to how hardcore N.E.R.D. fans know that two versions of their debut album "In Search Of..." exist—one being a predominantly digitally-produced version released in 2001 prior to the 2002 worldwide release featuring live instrumentation and Star Trak-affiliated rock band Spymob as the studio accompaniment—real heads know that there are two covetable iterations of the iconic N.E.R.D. trucker hat. Quite possibly one of the most definitive merch items that characterized the genre-bending music group's cross-cultural appeal, the mesh trucker hat is best known for its neon brain logo, with earlier versions that pre-date N.E.R.D.'s first tour in May 2002 featuring a non-neon design with a square border around the logo. The more recognizable version on auction here has another telltale feature—the neon brain glows in the dark.
