When Pharrell's Adidas partnership was first announced in 2014, he began making appearances in custom 1-of-1 Adidas gear made for his most discerning customer—himself. Taking reflective performance fabric from adidas, Pharrell commissioned a custom shorts suit for the 2015 GRAMMY Awards with a coordinating bowtie, wearing it onstage to accept two awards for "Happy," winning Best Pop Solo Performance and Best Music Video, as well as Best Urban Contemporary Album for Girl.
