Triptych

If American graffiti artists could be knighted, we would refer to him as Sir Futura2000. He is NY graf royalty having left his literal and figurative mark on multiple genres, iterations, and eras of American art. He can dap up the Rustoleum speckled fists of any battle-hardened writer as comfortably as he can rub elbows with the global art elite. He’s crossed genres, connected cultures and piloted the spaceship that carried “street art” into the mainstream. Somewhere along his graphiclactic journey, he befriended fellow time/space traveler Pharrell. A triptych trip through international currency, collaged across three skate decks, Around the World in Eighty Days is reflective of both Futura and Pharrell’s nomadic natures, their passion for international exploration, and of course their love of skate culture.
