In the 1980s and 1990s, NIGO fell in love with skating and he felt particularly connected to the skate culture that was flourishing out of New York and the East Coast at the time. During that time, he collected and used a selection of skateboards including this board by Ray Barbee. This skateboard recalls Barbee's immense influence on the skate scene and culture in the 1990s. A pioneer of technical skateboarding was a key figure in the rise of street skating and pne of the most beloved professional skateboarders of his time. His contributions and flowing skating style not only pushed the boundaries of the sport but also helped establish the visual and cultural aesthetic of skateboarding during the era, cementing his legacy as an iconic figure in the skate community.
