Jacob & Co. N.E.R.D. Belt Buckle

While Pharrell and Jacob’s collaborations usually consisted of traditional wrist, neck and earlobe embellishments, they often departed from the usual fair. In 2005, When longtime friend and collaborator Nigo opened his first A Bathing Ape store in NYC, Pharrell hopped out in this lavishly pastel, diamond drenched, Gucci-inspired, NERD belt buckle. The buckle is cast in platinum and consists of over 600 round brilliant natural diamonds of varying colors.It is an iconic piece that made such an impact, that the internet is now awash in knockoffs, sus bootlegs, homages and remixes of the iconic piece. If imitation is the sincerest form, then Pharrell and Jacob should be blushing brilliant pink.
